The European Congress of Local Governments is a platform for the exchange of views and a meeting place for local government leaders, regional elites with representatives of state administration, NGOs and business.

Multilateral cooperation between European regions and cities has in recent years developed into a social and economic phenomenon, to the point where it significantly affects not only the politics and economics of individual countries but also of the entire continent.
