Lower Silesia is called the heart of Europe. The region is located about 300 km from Warsaw, Berlin or Prague and is perfectly connected. Thanks to its great location and educated employees, it attracts investors and develops dynamically. In this place renowned universities and career prospects await students from Poland and Europe. Tourists are attracted by the largest number of classified monuments in the country, the largest number of castles and palaces, the heritage of industrial architecture and the most numerous spas in the country.

Lower Silesia is also a region that stands out in terms of the level of innovation in Poland. Its enormous economic and educational potential, excellent infrastructure facilities and high quality of human capital contribute to its strength. Business development also contributes to the region’s success – Lower Silesia is the seat of many Polish and international companies. Special Economic Zones support the location of new investments. The Lower Silesian economy is not only about its well-developing industry, but also specialized financial and outsourcing services.

The “green economy” is also an important area. Intensive economic development in Lower Silesia is focused on new technologies, favoring the rational use of natural resources. Lower Silesia is investing in low-carbon economy, considering both the increased role of renewable energy sources and energy-efficient technologies in production processes and construction.

Lower Silesia is a land of diversity where everyone will find space for oneself. Amazing mountains – the Sudetes, mysterious undergrounds, the Piast Castles Trail, the Land of Extinct Volcanoes, Milicz Ponds, the largest complex of fishponds in Europe, the Lower Silesian Beer and Wine Trail, are just some of the available attractions.

The inhabitants are, however, the most important, famous for their openness and hospitality, not only in Poland but also in Europe. The mosaic of cultures, customs and traditions in Lower Silesia creates an atmosphere thanks to which everyone feels at home here, and the infrastructure as well as attractiveness of the region make the inhabitants associate their future with this place. They want to develop here – educate, work, and invest.

Karpacz – Host City

Karpacz is a charming town at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains with their highest peak – Śnieżka. Amazing landscapes, unique attractions and excellent tourist infrastructure attract many visitors each year.

Karpacz offers excellent and varied conditions for spending leisure time all year round. Spring, summer and autumn are primarily mountain trek times. Nearly 100 kilometres of hiking trails run through the area, making it possible to discover one of the country’s most valuable areas in terms of nature, which in most part is under the protection of the Karkonosze National Park. In winter, thanks to the appropriate terrain and favourable climate, the town transforms into a ski resort offering numerous slopes and ski lifts, especially for beginners and families with children.

From the tourist resorts located in the Sudety Mountains, Karpacz has the most developed accommodation infrastructure. With nearly 5,000 permanent residents, the town can accommodate nearly 18,000 guests. Adequate facilities await here for those who like large, comfortable hotels, those who prefer to have everything “under one roof”, as well as those who are looking for nostalgic villas and for amateurs of simple conditions at an affordable price.
