Young@Forum is a community. The project is aimed at active young leaders from socio-business environments. The organizers of the Economic Forum provide participants with preferential conditions to engage those who want to transform their surrounding reality through building consensus and fostering social dialogue.

The goal of the project is to integrate various communities and enhance the representation of young people in discussions that shape the social discourse.

Mission and Objectives of the Project

•  Supporting ideological pluralism and fostering intergenerational integration,
• Promoting dialogue and social solidarity.

Kacper Wieczorkowski, Deputy Chair of the Municipal Council of Aleksandrów Kujawski, became the laureate of the Young Local Government Leaders Award during the 11th European Congress of Local Governments in Mikołajki. The award is a nationwide initiative of the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies, implemented as part of the Young@Forum project — a community of young people engaged in changing the world around them through responsible, bold and consistent action. The distinction is granted to those who inspire, cross the boundaries of communities and generations, and above all — set an example that it is worth taking action.

The Young Local Government Leaders Award honours the values that form the foundation of the Young@Forum community. We will honour people for whom responsibility means readiness to take on public challenges, agency is expressed through concrete action, courage is reflected in thinking and implementing change, the ability to cooperate across divisions matters, and authentic commitment is essential.

A special highlight of this year’s edition was the presentation of the Młodzi@Forum Young Leaders Award. This distinction, granted by the project community, aims to honor individuals who, acting with courage, responsibility, and beyond divisions, bring real value to social and economic life.

The laureate of the inaugural edition of the award was Kacper Nowicki, President of the Varia Posnania Foundation, Coordinator of the Polish Youth Dialogue within the Polish Council of Youth Organizations, and host of the program “O milimetr” on TVP. The award ceremony took place on September 4, 2025, during the Closing Gala of the Economic Forum in Karpacz, with the laudation delivered by His Magnificence, the Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), Prof. Piotr Wachowiak.
