The Institute for Eastern Studies Foundation respects the right to protect the personal data of its customers and visitors to the www.forum-ekonomiczne.pl website (the Service). This Privacy Policy for data processed by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies (ISW Privacy Policy) contains information required by the provisions of Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (RODO).

What data are processed in connection with visiting the Website?
Data from users visiting the Service can be ranked according to how they were obtained:
• Information provided voluntarily by the user - we ask you - users of the site using forms, among other things - to provide personal information:
a) Registration for the conferences and events we organize
b) sign up for newsletters and receive other information containing marketing content
c) sign up for a webinar or other online event
• information obtained during the use of the Service - in particular, among which can be distinguished:
• information in server logs - servers automatically record such data as the page request sent by the user, the date and time of the request and the sending of the response, device data (e.g. hardware model), browser type, browser language, operating system type, etc.
• information collected by the relevant Google Analytics tools in the process of monitoring website visit statistics, including but not limited to navigation, location and user traffic on the website;
• IP address of the computer
• text files ("cookies") sent to your computer when you visit a website.
For what purposes and on what grounds do we process data?
• in the case of registration for conferences and events organized by us, the basis for the processing of your data is the legitimate interest pursued by the HEI, by which is meant the organization of statutory events of the HEI (Article 6(1)(f) RODO)
• in case you express a desire to receive newsletters and other information containing marketing content, the basis for data processing is your consent
(Article 6(1)(a) RODO)
• in the case of registration for participation in a webinar or other online event organized by ISW for the purpose of identifying the sender and for the purpose of registering for the event, the legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the necessity of the processing for the performance of the contract for the provision of the service (Article 6(1)(b) of the RODO), and for the purpose of realizing the Administrator's legitimate interest in examining the satisfaction of event participants
(Article 6(1)(f) RODO).
• Your personal data stored in cookies located on your Device along with its cache may also be processed for the purpose of marketing services provided by the Administrator and its Partners. This data is processed based on your voluntary consent (Article 6.1.a. RODO). Detailed rules for the processing of personal data stored in cookies can be found in the appendix to this Privacy Policy.
• Your personal data is also processed when required by law, among others, tax law regulations (Article 6(1)(c) RODO)
How long will your data be processed?
• where the basis for data processing is your consent, the data will be processed until you withdraw your consent;
• where the basis for processing is the legitimate interest of the Controller, until you raise an effective objection,
• where data is processed for tax and accounting purposes to the extent and for the duration consistent with applicable regulations.
To whom can we share data?
Your personal data may be shared:
• entities that will process personal data on behalf of the Administrator, in particular, entities providing hosting, IT service, operators of services through which online events are conducted, etc;
• at the request of entities authorized to do so by law, e.g. relevant law enforcement agencies;
• To the Administrator's partners for marketing purposes on the basis of your consent and also in the cases specified above on the basis of the Administrator's legitimate interest.
Rights related to data processing:
In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights:
• the right to request access to data;
• The right to request rectification of data;
• The right to request deletion of data;
• The right to request restriction of data processing;
• The right to object to the processing of personal data;
• The right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of personal data with the competent supervisory authority.
If your data are processed on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
Transfers of data outside the EEA
As a general rule, personal data of which HEI is the Administrator is not transferred to third countries, outside the European Economic Area (EEA). However, some of the IT service providers provided to HEI (such as Facebook, for example) may be based outside the EEA, additionally, in the case of online events, personal data may also be processed outside the EEA by the service provider through which the event is conducted. When transferring data to an entity that is based outside the EEA, these entities are required to apply the standard contractual clauses adopted by the Commission (EU) or participate in the Privacy Shield program established under Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1250 of July 12, 2016 on the adequacy of the protection provided by the EU-US Privacy Shield.
