Healthcare Forum

For over 10 years, the Healthcare Forum has been an inseparable part of the Economic Forum, offering support and presentation of new ideas for managing and financing the healthcare system. It is primarily a place for discussions on health topics from the economic point of view. They are attended by all stakeholders of the health sector in Poland and Europe. The following issues such as finance, regulation, and innovation, are discussed. The Healthcare Forum belongs to the most prestigious conferences devoted to health care, in the opinion of all interested parties: representatives of the state administration and patient associations, directors of medical institutions, experts, and managers of the pharmaceutical sector. In total, the number of participants of the Healthcare Forum has increased to 500 in recent years. Among them, there have always been numerous top management representatives of the Ministry of Health. Usually, the minister of health himself takes part in the Forum. The dynamics of the development of the Healthcare Forum, engagement of many institutional and business partners, and the topics that have been inspirational both for the industry as well as for the media have proved that healthcare belongs to the contemporary economic and social priorities.

Europe of the Carpathians

Every year, a significant part of the Economic Forum is the Europe of the Carpathians Conference. The initiator of the project, during which the most important issues concerning Central Europe are discussed, is Mr Marek Kuchciński, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. The debates are attended by experts, politicians and representatives of the world of science, who discuss the role and importance of this part of Europe in global politics and economy, or further steps that should be taken to increase its significance. During the debates, panellists talk about the model and directions of cooperation between the Carpathian states, take important decisions regarding, among other things, the development of the infrastructure that connects them, or the future of the Three Seas Initiative. Within the talks during the Europe of the Carpathians Conference, important declarations on the strategic activities of the countries within the region are frequently being made.

Polish Community Economic Forum

Among discussions within the Economic Forum, there are also the ones related to the subject of the Polish Diaspora and Poles abroad. Once again, the Polish Community Economic Forum will be held as part of the conference. Last year it was organized jointly with the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The events will be attended by representatives of state authorities, the Polish community abroad, national non-governmental organizations and Polish enterprises. During the event, participants raise important topics from the point of view of the Polish community. They discuss issues such as whether obtaining an education at Polish universities can cause mass returns to the country, how the government and Polish enterprises can help Poland financially, and how people living outside Poland can effectively fight for Polish interests. “It is our duty to care for Poles and the Polish diaspora abroad. […] It is extremely important for us to help our compatriots abroad maintain their Polishness, cultivate it and pass it on to the next generations”, noted the former Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Ms Maria Koc, in Karpacz. The aim of the annual meetings as a part of the Polish Economic Forum is to involve Poles living abroad to participate in important talks and events in our country.
