The next of the series of the international parliamentary conference “Europe of the Carpathians”

Over XXVI Economic Forum in Krynica  the next of the series of the international parliamentary conference “Europe of the Carpathians” will be held. This is a unique series of meetings initiated by the Marshal (Speaker) of the Sejm – Marek Kuchciński and dedicated to strengthening the cooperation of the Carpathian region states. It is thanks to kindness and friendly support of formerly Vice-Marshal of Sejm (2010-2015), and now Marshal of Sejm Mark Kuchciński that the annual meetings in Krynica are held.

The meeting brings together representatives of national parliaments, government administration and academic institutions and experts from the countries of the Carpathian region: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Serbia and Ukraine, as well as many representatives of local governments, entrepreneurs and activists of non-governmental organizations.

The aim of the conference is to continue the discussions pertaining to cross-border and regional cooperation of European countries of the Carpathian region. The leading topics of the meeting are the issues of the Carpathian Strategy, the Carpathian Convention and the parliamentary initiatives that favor the Carpathians as well as coordination of common policies at parliamentary level.

Over this year’s conference “Europe of the Carpathians” ten discussion panels and the Plenary Session – What Europe Needs Solidarity? are going to be held. The Session is to be with the participation of the Speakers of the  Parliaments of the Carpathian region countries. The participation has been confirmed by i.a.: the President of the Parliament of Lithuania Loreta Graužinienė and the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania Florin Iordache. The Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński will be the host of the whole meeting.
