The Economic Forum 2020 moved to Karpacz

The Economic Forum 2020 will take place in the new location but on the same date. We will meet at the Gołębiewski Hotel in Karpacz from 8th to 10th September 2020. The decision to change the location was difficult, but we took it with a sense of responsibility for the safety of our guests.

For several months we have been working to organize an event in Krynica Zdrój, which would meet the highest sanitary and epidemiological standards. We are convinced that our experience and actions taken would guarantee safety during the Forum.

On 6th August, the Ministry of Health introduced additional sanitary and epidemiological restrictions in almost 20 poviats in 6 voivodships. They also covered the area of Nowy Sącz, where Krynica Zdrój is located. We assess the decision of the Ministry of Health very positively. The introduction of sanitary rigour should allow for effective control of disease outbreaks.

The dynamics of the situation makes it impossible to predict how quickly individual poviats will regain the status allowing the organization of congresses. This, in turn, prevents us from finalizing the infrastructure of the conference center and calls into question the possibility of organizing the Forum on the planned date. Therefore, we cannot guarantee our Partners and Guests that in the second week of September the meeting in Krynica Zdrój will be possible.

Therefore, bearing in mind the comfort and safety of our guests, we decided to move the Economic Forum to Karpacz, which is located in the green zone. What’s more, we have very good experiences of cooperation with the Gołębiewski Hotel, where we have successfully organized our conferences.

The Economic Forum has been a space for meetings and substantive discussions for almost 30 years. Recent months have shown that even the most advanced online communication tools will not replace direct interpersonal relations. This is also proven by the opinions of our long-term partners. That is why we plan our deliberations in the traditional formula, and we will only move some of them to the internet.
