Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania – Žygimantas Vaičiūnas has confirmed his attendance at 28th Economic Forum in Krynica

Žygimantas Vaičiūnas is another Lithuanian minister who will appear in Krynica. The delegation of Prime Minister Saulius Skviernelis looks more and more impressive.

Minister Vaičiūnas has been in the current office since December 2016. He has been working in the Ministry of Energy since 2009. Initially he was Head of the Strategic Planning and European Union Affairs Division. He was then Viceminister of Energy in Andrius Kubilius cabinet. In the years 2012-2014 he was adviser to the Minister of Energy Jarosław Niewierowicz. From 2014 to 2016 he has been working as energy attaché in Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the EU.

He has been lecturer at the Vilnius University.

In 2006 he received master`s degree in European Studies at the Vilnius University.

Minister Vaičiūnas will take a part in panel discussion alongside Anton Anton – Minister of Energy of Romania and Ando Leppiman –  Deputy Secretary General for Energy in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, titled: „Energy of the Future: Macrotrends and Microstrategies”. Panel`s participants will talk about regional  energy security policies and discuss the issue of implementing trends and choosing proper strategies.
