Gheorghe Flutur will participate in the upcoming Europe – Ukraine Forum

President of the Suceava County Council, a region situated in the North-East part of Romania has confirmed his presence in the Europe – Ukraine Forum that will be held this March in Rzeszow.

Gheorghe Flutur is a Romanian heavyweight politician, having a huge experience in politics at the international, national and local level. He was a Senator of two terms between 2000-2004 and between 2012-2016. In the years 2004-2006 he was the Romanian minister of agriculture, forests and rural development.

He is also the Vice-Chairman of the National Liberal Party. Between 2008-2012 he held the position of the President of the Suceava County Council for the first time. He returned to the politics at the local level in 2016, when he was elected for the second time the President of County Council

Lets remind us, that Suceava County and the region of the Southern Bukovina is of particular importance for the Poles – it is the region where the Polish minority in Romania lives and thrives to this very day. In villages such as Cacica, Solonetu Nou, Poiana Miculi or Plesa, one can easily talk in Polish language with the locals. The city of Suceava hosts Dom Polski – Polish Cultural Center.
