European Congress of Local Governments – online edition

On behalf of the Institute for Eastern Studies Foundation, we would like to invite you to take part in the on-line edition of the European Congress of Local Governments, which will be held on the zoom platform on 8-9 December 2020 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is an introduction to the discussions, which will take place in the traditional form in Karpacz in May 2021.

In the organised panels, workshops and talks, together with our guests, we will try to find an answer to the question of how to support the Polish economy, strengthen local business and revitalise interregional cooperation during a difficult period.

Two five-hour programme blocks await registered participants of our event.

On Tuesday, 8 December, issues related to the role of public administration in supporting Polish exporters, the use of investment potential of cities and regions and – as part of the Polish-Czech forum – cross-border cooperation of both countries will be addressed. We are planning one-on-one talks with our guests and presentations of selected companies from Sądecki district.

On Wednesday 9 December, the invited guests will take part in a discussion on the role of Eastern European regions in building regional partnerships, the impact of the epidemic on the implementation of the Smart City vision and the competitiveness of local businesses in relation to large corporations.

We are also planning meetings with winners of the Local Government Financial Ranking, talks with invited guests and workshops.
