Dirk Hazell in Rzeszow on future of Europe after 2019 and possible enlargement of the European Union

One of our gust is Dirk Hazell – leader of British party Alliance EPP: European People’s Party. UK EPP is a pro-European Union, centre right political party, critical of the Conservative Party’s departure from European Union.

In the last few years we can observe a growing role of nationalism and populism in Europe. The long-term strategy of further deepening of European integration is still being contested. In Europe more and more people are reluctant not only to migrants who came from distant continents, but also to migrants from poorer EU member states and countries of the Eastern neighbourhood. Facing all these escalating trends, will the European Union be someday ready to accept new member states?

Those questions will be asked in the panel entitled: Europe After 2019 – Integration or Disintegration? When the Further Enlargement of the EU is Possible?

Dirk Hazell is a politician and a businessman. A graduate of the University of Cambridge and barrister.  He is a former Conservative councillor.

Hazell was working as the European General Counsel and Compliance Director of large investment bank. He contributed to both financial and environmental EU Directives.
