Brian Unwin in Krynica on the changes in the financial markets

Former President of European Investment Bank has confirmed his attendance at 28th Economic Forum.

How will the european financial landscape look like after Brexit? Which city is supposed to become a new financial capital of the EU? How will the financial sector implement new ways of managing crucial resources? And how to build the right strategy model under the competitive conditions? Brian Unwin and the other guests of the discussion panels entitled: „The EU Financial Markets after 2019. Key Changes” and „ A Winning Strategy, a Losing Tactics. On the Importnace of Strategies for States and Corporations” will try to find answers to these questions.

Brian Unwin after studying at New College Oxford and Yale in 1960 began working in the British diplomatic service.  In the years 1968-1985 he was helding a number of high level positions in the HM Treasury. In the same time, he was UK Director in European Investment Bank. In 1987 became Chairman of the Board of Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise.

In the April of 1993 Brian Unwin was appointed as President of European Investment Bank, a position which he held until his retirement in 1999.

He has served as a President of the European Centre for Nature Conservation and as a member of the board of directors of English National Opera.

Brian Unwin is an author of historical books referring to Napoleonic era. He has also published his memoirs titled „With respect, Minister: A view from inside Whitehall”.
