In an interview organized during the 30th Economic Forum in Karpacz, Szymon Hołownia talked about the backstage of the “Polska 2050” movement, political forecasts and the association’s plans.

– Green, democratic and solidary Poland – these are the ideas that guide us – said Szymon Hołownia during the meeting moderated by the Editor-in-Chief of “Rzeczpospolita”, Bogusław Chrabota. The President of the “Polska 2050” Association is a guest of the 30th Economic Forum in Karpacz.

– We need to heal the process of making politics in Poland – said Hołownia, pointing to the importance of public consultations – We showed people that it is possible to de-polarize the political scene, which has been non-changeable in recent years. We want our civic movement to be truly civic, so that the association has an impact on local politics.

Hołownia also revealed the backstage of his presidential campaign and the creation of the Polska 2050 association. He talked about his staff and also about funding the association – People didn’t believe that there was such a thing as crowdfunding political party, that it might be enough, but our campaigns were based on that.

The candidate in the presidential election in 2020 also commented on the latest polls: – I was expecting the “Tusk effect”, so I am not disappointed with the polls, I treat it as a challenge.

The meeting with Szymon Hołownia was part of the thematic block “#Plan4Poland – a Democratic, Supportive, Green and Safe Poland”, which was organized on the second day of the 30th edition of the Economic Forum in Karpacz. The second element of the block was a discussion panel participated by the members of the “Polska 2050” Association.
