The Polish Minister of National Education Anna Zalewska will be the guest of 3rd European Congress of Local Governments
The Polish Minister of National Education – Anna Zalewska has confirmed her participation in 3rd European Congress of Local Governments in Krakow (27-28 March).
Anna Zalewska graduated from the Polish Philology Department of the University of Wrocław in 1989. She first worked as teacher and deputy director of the Świebodzice High School. Since 2007, Zalewska has been a member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) – in VI, VII and VIII terms.
Anna Zalewska is a frequent visitor at our forums. In April 2016, during the 2nd European Congress of Local Governments she stressed that "the key to modernization of education in Poland is improving teachers’ vocational education; the teachers play the most important role in the education of young people." In addition, the Minister of Education announced that, together with the Minister of Development Mateusz Morawiecki, she will prepare a project that will support local governments in increasing the number of kids the nurseries and kindergartens can accept each year.
