About the future of IMF
Changes affecting IMF and the World Bank will be discussed by participants in the panel 'the Role of multilateral institutions in the recent crisis'. Global multilateral institutions, especially the IMF and the World Bank, have been perceived as organizations loosing their raisons d'être. Currently they play a key role in overcoming the crisis. What will their future be like? Discussion will take place among Ana Palacio – former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain (moderator), Jurij Karakaj – Supreme Chamber of Ukraine, Iwona Kozera - partner in the Polish department of Ernst & Young, Andriej Nieczajew, President of Russian Financial Corporation, Mete Gundogan, economic and industrial adviser of Turkish Milda Paper Industry Ltd., and a special guest Angel Gurria, Secretary General of OECD.
About the future of banks

Why have the banks found themselves on the verge of bankruptcy? The future of financial sector will be discussed among participants in the panel 'Where is the money...? – the future of the banking sector in Europe'. Participants in the discussion will try to answer the question if the crisis has come to an end already? What are the current challenges for banks. Discussion will be moderated by Krzysztof Rozen - Partner, KPMG, Poland, honorary guest will be Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, chairman of the Economic Council by the Prime Minister of Poland. Among panellists will be presidents of banks - Zbigniew Jagiełło (PKO BP), Krzysztof Kalicki (Deutsche Bank Poland), Małgorzata Kołakowska (ING Bank), Mateusz Morawiecki (BZ WBK) and Sławomir Sikora (Bank Handlowy).  
Transformation balance

How 20 years of transformation have changed the image of Eastern Europe will be the topic for discussion among participants in one of the panels during the forum in Krynica. The most important issues touched on during the discussion 'Central and Eastern Europe – balance of 20-years and new challenges' will be achievements, failures and new challenges of the recent two decades. The participants will focus also on evaluation how much Europe is still a two-speed continent.  Moderator of the panel will be the President of the Management Board of PZU, Andrzej Klesyk, and a special guest Günter Verheugen, former Vice-President of the European Commission. The panel will be also attended by Marek Belka, President of the National Bank of Poland, Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, Chairman of the Economic Council, Mikuláš Dzurinda, former Prime Minister of Slovakia, and Members of Parliament: Gediminas Kirkilas from Lithuania and Mart Laar from Estonia.
Dialogue in the XXI century
New methods of communication within the scope of public debate will be discussed by experts from the USA, Bulgaria and Poland during the panel 'Open government – digital platform for public dialogue and civic cooperation'. Panellists will discuss digital technologies offering new opportunities for social dialogue, because everyone can express his/her arguments. Actions of this type, called 'open government' have been currently undertaken in such countries as the USA, the United Kingdom or Germany. The panel will be attended, among others, by: Michał Boni – Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, Iwan Krastew – Director of Bulgarian Centre of Studies on Liberalism, Juliana Rotich –Co-Founder of internet platform Ushahidi from the USA.
About the future of gas market
The future of gas market will be discussed during the panel 'Gas for Europe. Perspectives and forecasts' by representatives from Russia, Germany, Holland and Slovakia. Panelists will try to predict the architecture of the EU market as the result of implementation of energy directives and the outlook for adaptation of long-term export contracts (including gas from Gazprom, sent via pipelines). The discussion will be joined by: Wim Groenendijk – Vice-President for international and public affairs, N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie, Denis Leonow – Deputy Head of Department in Gazprom Export, Stefanie Neveling –  Department Head in German Federal Network Agency and Urban Rusnak from Slovakian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussion will be moderated by Andriej Konoplanik – Adviser to the Board of Management, Gazprombank, Russia.
