Medical Startups Presentation during 10th Investment Forum
One of the main events of 10th Investment Forum in Tarnów is Start-up Award competition. The best innovative companies are presented during the Forum.
UnitDoseOne is an automated hospital pharmacy – a complete solution for the preparation and distribution of medicines in individually prepared sets for a given patient in a hospital. It support a drug logistics system that is currently based primarily on manual packaging and accounting and help to distribute medicines more efficiently, reducing errors, streamlining the treatment process, and improving the quality of treatment, resulting in hospital savings.
PelviFly consists of a silicone treadmill for for home usage, packed with bluetooth-enabled mobile applications that allow the reproduction of the pelvic floor muscles in the form of animations on the phone’ screen. The whole is supervised remotely by a physiotherapist preparing a training plan and tasks to perform in the form of simple games. The founder of PelviFly is Urszula Herman – PhD student at the Jagiellonian University. After two years of clinical research and collaboration with the support of Business Angels from the Foundation of Women Entrepreneurs' Networks, she has succeeded in developing a comprehensive and effective solution – PelviFly.
Feetsafety specializes in providing innovative solutions for the hotel and spa industry. Feetsafty offers: anti-fungal, grooming, disposable hotel slippers, antifungal mats for SPA facilities and swimming pools and anti-fungal swimming pools reusable. All products are impregnated with a dermatologically tested preparation made by the original recipe.
Pregnabit is a telemedical device designed to support the work of doctors and midwives. It enables the CTG monitoring of pregnant women anywhere, anytime, especially when an additional visit to the doctor’s surgery is not possible or necessary. Pregnabit® combines well- known and proven features of a professional stationary CTG device, which is used in hospitals in the U.S. and worldwide, with the features of modern mobile devices.
The 112 innovative companies from Poland, Ukraine, USA and Slovakia take part in the competionion this year. The projects will be selected by the analysts of Startup HUB Poland – the Partner of the Investment Forum. The partner of the Startup Award 2017 is PKN ORLEN. The prize pool is 100,000 PLN. The 13 teams of students joined the competition for young constructors – Robot Show. Honorary Patronage of the competition was taken by the Marshal of the Małopolska Region. The prize pool is 10,000 PLN.
