1-2 June 2020 – NEW date for the 6th European Congress of Local Governments

VI European Congress of Local Governments in Karpacz

NEW DATE: 1-2 JUNE, 2020

The European Congress of Local Governments is the largest conference of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. It annually hosts more than 2,000 people, including local government leaders, representatives of regional elites as well as state administrations, NGOs and business.

Due to the worldwide spread of the coronavirus epidemics and taking into account the recent recommendations of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, the National Institute of Hygiene and the Prime Minister of Poland – Mateusz Morawiecki, the conference now cannot not be held on the primarily announced date of 2-3 April 2020.

Bearing in mind the safety of our guests, which has always been our priority, we have now decided to change the date of the conference. Together with our partners we have set a new date for   the 1 – 2 June 2020. Hotel Gołębiewski in Karpacz will still remain the primary location of the event.

Health has always been one of the most important parts of the European Congress of Local Governments. We believe that by the time of the new conference date, the spread of the virus will not only be severely limited, but also that the representatives of the Ministry of Health, scientists and hospitals will have much more knowledge about the disease thus limiting the numbers of those infected even further.

We are tirelessly continuing our efforts to prepare the conference program for the new event date of 1-2 June 2020. In the face of such a large number of registrations for the Congress, we trust that you will remain to be with us in June. We would like for your time in Karpacz to be an opportunity to participate in many expert debates, which will hopefully lead to a more efficient and effective management of local governments for the benefit of local communities.
